For the ninth straight year, the Dryden Kitchen Cupboard has been the recipient of the Tompkins Cortland Community College community’s generosity.

This year’s annual food drive, organized by the college’s student activities office, brought in more than 2,000 cans of food and $500 cash to be donated to the local food pantry. The donations will help the Kitchen Cupboard restock its shelves after Thanksgiving and be prepared for the winter holiday season.

The drive, which first took place in 2009, has grown through the years to include a CANstruction event – where donated cans are used to build sculptures on campus.
Donations came in from students and staff, as well as community members at events like the Harlem Wizards basketball game, and this year a “megabuild” produced a replica of the College’s Panther logo.
