=Join the Finger Lakes Finns for An Evening with Frank Eld, the Finlandia Foundation National Lecturer of the Year (2018-19) for an entertaining and informative talk about the unique log buildings made by Finnish immigrants to the United States and Canada using hand hewn log building construction.These log buildings served as the mainstay dwellings of the Finns who ventured to North America in 1638-55 and during the great migration in 1890-1920. This program will be held on Tuesday evening, May 21st, at 7:00 PM, at the Newfield Fire Hall, 77 Main St., Newfield, NY. Coffee and light desserts will be served. All are welcome to attend.
