Letters to the Editor: Reed is out of touch

I’m sure I’m not the only one who finds Representative Tom Reed out of touch with his constituents. His office has never even acknowledged receipt of my letters regarding his support for tax cuts for the wealthy ($171 billion went to shareholders, $6 billion to working people) and undermining our health care (cuts by the current administration have driven insurance premiums up 37 percent since May 2017).  I guess it’s not surprising, given that corporations make up the bulk of his donors.  His challenger, Tracy Mitrano, accepts no corporate money and promotes policies that serve the interests of our district: affordable health care for all, confronting the student-debt crisis, a sensible immigration policy, and access to broadband internet to make our region economically competitive.  I look forward to voting for Tracy Mitrano on Tuesday, November 6, and I hope many others will join me.
