Letters to the Editor: Supporting Mitrano

Letters to the Editor

Despairing about the country’s direction? June 26 is Election Day and the Democratic primary winner will challenge Congressman Tom Reed.
While the field is large, without any hesitation, Tracy Mitrano is my pick. She will be a tireless, effective advocate for the district. She has broad support from leaders in Corning, Watkins Glen, Jamestown, Elmira, Chautauqua and many other communities; in Tompkins, Mayor Svante Myrick and Dan Lamb, Dryden Deputy Supervisor and 15-year District Rep for the late Congressman Maurice Hinchey. Tracy also handily won the Tompkins County Democratic Committee straw poll as well as all 5 public polls across the district. Half of her 5300 petition signatures were from outside Tompkins County. She is endorsed by the Working Families and Women’s Equality Parties.

When you meet Tracy, you quickly understand why she was the early frontrunner in this race: intelligence, vision, compassion, spark, and the ability to easily connect with people, including moderate Republicans and independents.

Tracy is a native western New Yorker, mother, educator, lawyer, and cyber security policy expert. She is one of 472 women running for Congress. And yes, women are winning! Please check her website and videos and vote!
