Tim Donnelly: How were you able to come away with those wins over Union Springs, Bradford, and Watkins Glen?
Casey Phillips: Yea, it was pretty fun and I had a lot of, my teammates really helped out a lot. Our whole team was just having a lot of fun.
TD: How important is that for your particular squad that, you know, that when things are going right and you’re playing well that things are also fun?
CP: That is just when we play our best. This year we are just playing really well. I think we have a good chance at sectionals and if we keep playing this way, I think we’ll have a really good outcome.
TD: You participated in the Odessa-Montour Tournament. When you enter a tournament, where you’re going to be competing against other teams and there is the one ultimate goal, how satisfying is it for you to come away with the title?
CP: Yea, it just feels really good. I mean, I’ve competed in a lot of tournaments and I’m thrilled with every single one because mostly our team just works hard.
TD: You also finished the week, individually, with six goals and four assists. What got into you that gave you such individual success?
CP: Like I said before, just a lot of help from my teammates, coaches a lot. We’re all just having fun.
