TCPL requesting submissions from Tompkins County poets

Want to spread your poetry to residents across the county? Love your local library? Combine the two! From a release from the Tompkins County Public Library: On April 25, Tompkins County Public Library will celebrate Poem in Your Pocket Day, an annual celebration of poetry where poems will be featured on cards to be given out around the community. In 2018, over 1,700 poems were distributed to the community.


Short poems written by local poets are needed. Poems must be no longer than 16 lines, and there is a limit of two poems per poet. Poems must address the 2019 theme of Space.


Deadline
The deadline for submitting poems is March 17. All poems that meet the criteria will be featured in Poem in Your Pocket Day.
