ITHACA – An eclectic blend of acoustic music – bluegrass, old time and swing, with an infusion of Celtic music to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day season – will greet the ears at the 7th annual Winter Village Music Festival.
It will take place Thursday, March 2, through Sunday, March 5, at LaTourelle, located at 1150 Danby Road in Ithaca. Four concerts will take place in the LaTourelle Music Hall, a 150-seat venue, and food and drink will be available all weekend at the Bistro and two bars.

Featured performers are the Jeremy Kittel Trio, The Barefoot Movement and 10 String Symphony. They will be joined by local favorites Paris Texas (Bobby and Doug Henrie, and Rick Manning), Suitcase (Judy Hyman and Jeff Claus), and a downstate band, Too Blue.
The festival will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2, with Suitcase opening up; they will be followed by 10 String Symphony at 8:15 p.m.
On Friday, March 3, there will be afternoon workshops on all instruments, and a 10 String Symphony band workshop and casual concert. Friday evening’s festivities begin with a Happy Hour reception hosted by South Hill Cider with a cash bar and Southern Comfort dinner served from the La Tourelle Bistro. Performances that night will be from Too Blue (6:30 p.m.), 10 String Symphony (7:30 p.m.) and the Jeremy Kittel Trio (8:45 p.m.).

Workshops will again take place throughout the day Saturday, March 4; at 5 p.m. the Lobby Jam will be hosted by the Pickin in the Pasture host band, the Jesse Alexander Band, with a cash bar and southern comfort food from the Bistro. Saturday night the stage will be filled with tunes from Paris Texas (6:30 p.m.), The Barefoot Movement (7:30 p.m.) and the Jeremy Kittel Trio (8:45 p.m.).
On Sunday, March 5, there will be a brunch concert, with The Barefoot Movement opening at 10:30 a.m. and the Jeremy Kittel Trio up at 11:30 a.m.
In the afternoon, Sunday, there will be a Fiddle Master Class with Jeremy Kittel from 1:30-3:30 p.m.; a Mandolin Master Class with Josh Pinkham will take place from 4-6 p.m. The cost of each individual class is $30 for students and $40 for adults.
