Sunday March 2nd, Cinemapolis will hold their “And the Winner Is” gala. Attendees will be able to enjoy the red carpet event on the big screen; the person who can predict the most winners that night will win a free year of movies.

Drinks and food will be provided by Serendipity Catering. Jyl’s Photo Booth will be on hand to take fun pictures. There will be raffle prizes and an assortment of silent auction items, including an original painting of the Cinemapolis lobby by local artist Coreen Steinbach.

Cinemapolis is downtown Ithaca’s non-profit independent movie theater. The fundraising gala helps support the theater and its mission.

Marshall Hopkins, Cinemapolis Board Co-chair, says, “I love having a downtown cinema. The Gala is a great annual event that invites our community to dress up and celebrate the magic of the movies.”

Individual tickets for the gala are $70. Cinemapolis member tickets are $60. A group of 5 tickets can be purchased for $250. Tickets include admission, food, and one drink ticket. There will be a cash bar where additional drinks will be available.

Tickets are available at the Cinemapolis box office or cinemapolis.org. Ticket prices will go up by ten dollars the day of the event, so it is best to purchase them in advance.

Littman Babiarz, Attorneys at Law and Tompkins Community Bank are event sponsors. The awards show starts at 7p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
