Two of the anticipated action-adventure movies this summer, are re-imaginings of the flagship character of Superman in the DC Comics Universe, and of the Fantastic Four, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series of trailers for both movies promise a blend of adventure and snappy patter, and both, interestingly, also strongly play up the role of family. The Comic Book Club of Ithaca — the oldest continuously running comic book club in the country — is a registered non-profit organization. The Club meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, and meetings are free and open to pop culture fans of all ages.
