Teresa Bakota Yatsko's "Reimagination" exhibit on view at The Gallery at South Hill. The 3-dimensional book sculptures in this exhibit have been created from a variety of upcycled books that were obtained from the Ithaca Friends of the Library Book Sale. These dioramas hold a variety of textures and dimensions created through folded and carved pages. Mosses and lichen, tree bark, and twisted branches bring earthly elements into each scene. The assemblages are like miniature stage sets opening one up to the worlds of the mystical and magical, as well as to simple scenes of treasured moments like getting absorbed in reading a good book.
