Letter to the editor: Carissa Parlato for Ulysses town clerk
Carissa Parlato Ulysses town clerk seeks re-election to continue improving transparency, accessibility, and efficiency for town residents.
I am proud to be in my twelfth year as the Town Clerk of one of the best small towns- the Town of Ulysses!
Raised in central NY, I spent my post-college years exploring the country before determining that these woods, lakes, creeks, gorges and people are pretty darn special.
I love being able to do my part to help keep our community a great place to live. Throughout my tenure, I have focused on increasing accessibility, transparency, and efficiency; with a goal of making local government more useful and approachable to taxpayers.
My weekly newsletter helps residents stay informed about town, county, state, and federal resources and happenings. I have updated processes and implemented programs to give constituents more access by enabling online bill pay and recordings of town meetings. And for those who prefer to pay in cash, in person, with paper; we still honor that too.
I humbly ask for your support to be re-elected on Nov. 4.
