Chase Kasian: HiWay HiFi Offers Creative Solutions

Chase Kasian, born and raised in Newfield, New York, is a terrific ambassador for the gem of a business his parents opened 47 years ago. Originally located on Taughannock Boulevard, near Kelly’s Dockside Café, over the years, people have come away surprised and pleased by the wide array of special products and projects HiWay HiFi has to offer.

Chase and his partner and children still reside in Newfield, New York, in the original Kasian homestead. Driving to work which begins at 7 A.M., Chase says he loves his work and follows his parents’ advice: “Go out of your way to please each customer and help them.” And speaking to those who have dreamed up projects (and Chase and his team have completed them, no matter how grand or humble the customer’s request was), it seems that Chase fulfills his parents’ wishes. And of course, he does his driving and his work time with great sound systems playing in the background. And HiWay Hifi is known for making that happen.

Chase: “Both of my parents are audiophiles. They love and are intrigued by good sound. My Mother worked at HWHF, and my brother and sister live nearby, and we all remain involved in our family business…My mother always loved listening to music as she drove to their burgeoning business. I remember as a kid she had a Saab 900 and would listen to all kinds of music as she drove us kids around. She told us it was a “great system,” and although mostly retired now, she still appreciates quality car audio sound.”

“When I was a young driver, I loved loud music and had a massive sound system car stereo in my Ford Excursion. Now I have kids, and I value good quality sound over volume.”

For years people have come to HiWay HiFi seeking mobile electronics like cassette players and radio installations in their car. Or seeking a special kind of entertainment unit for their Family Room. “We are the interface for audio systems which people describe; creating and installing just exactly what they have in mind in their cars or building…If no product can fulfill the customer’s expectations, we design and fabricate what is needed to make it happen.”

Chase describes all kinds of home security systems which provide protection, but are also easy to use by the elderly homeowner or the young parent carrying kids and groceries into the home. “We have designed and installed systems for ease with unlocking and locking doors, automatic lighting, automatic gate or garage door automation and so much more.”

Business owners and car dealerships refer many customers to us. Chase is sought out for the window tinting he and his team install. “While I’ve done this work for many years, I’m very pleased that the new window tint technology is amazing. People come from all around the state to get tinting to shield a newborn or pets, for eye conditions or skin conditions, or just to make summer driving more comfortable as the world grows warmer…The new technology works so that the windshield glass serves as a “heat sink”. As it collects heat on the outside, that heat is dispersed into the outside glass, when the car is driven the air flow dispenses the heat and circulates the heat outside the car. That way the radiant heat on the window never even enters the car!”
