Holiday concert at Ford Hall Dec. 13

The Ithaca Concert Band holiday concert returns Dec. 13 at Ford Hall with classic Christmas favorites, a kids’ segment, and the traditional “Sleigh Ride.”

The holiday spirit will be in abundance at the Ithaca Concert Band’s Holiday Concert, at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Ithaca College’s Ford Hall. The concert is free of charge, but donations are always welcomed. 

Conductor Art Carichner has assembled a holiday program that represents both old and new. You will hear familiar Christmas songs such as “We Three Kings,” “Joy to the World,” “Jingle Bells,” and “O Holy Night.”

A special children’s portion will also be included, featuring renditions of “Linus and Lucy” and “The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers.”

And of course, the concert will conclude with Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”
