Letter to the editor: Write in Joe Lovejoy and John Duthie for Lansing Town Board

Dear Editor, 

As a proud member of the Town of Lansing, and a lifelong Democrat, I’m supporting Joe Lovejoy and John Duthie for the Lansing Town Board because they represent exactly what our town needs—transparent leadership, environmental awareness, and a commitment to people over politics.

Joe and John understand that good government means listening to everyone, not just those who agree with you. They both understand that real progress happens when leaders work across party lines and put community first. Their approach isn’t about division—it’s about collaboration and finding common-sense solutions that strengthen Lansing for generations to come.

They’re also deeply rooted in Lansing’s growth and sustainability. Joe, as a long-time business owner and builder, knows firsthand the importance of balancing development with environmental responsibility. Both he and John believe Lansing can grow in a way that supports local businesses, protects our natural resources, and ensures a healthy future for our families and children.

Transparency, accountability, and community input will always be at the heart of their decision-making. Joe and John are running to make sure Lansing’s future is one we can all be proud of—a future built on respect, responsibility, and a genuine love for this town.
