John Simon and Cal Walker will perform at the Tompkins County Public Library July 19

Children’s Reading Connection (CRC)  and the Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL) are pleased to present John Simon and Cal Walker with Sing Me a Story! Read Me a Song!, Saturday, July 19, at 1 p.m., at TCPL.

Our community’s own reading and singing heroes, and book buddies, John and Cal, will be sharing stories that are songs, and songs that are stories in a concert especially for young children and their families at TCPL in the BorgWarner Community Room.

In addition to the five books in the Sing Me a Story set, this special performance will feature “Wheels on the TCAT Bus,” an adaptation of the classic song, to honor our community’s bus drivers for helping people get from here and there and where they need to go in our community.

Families will each receive a free gift book of “All Are Welcome” by Alexandra Penfold, a beautiful children’s picture book celebrating school and community that John Simon has put to music. Free “All Are Welcome” posters will also be available for families to take to post in their homes and windows as we launch the “All Are Welcome Community Campaign” toe celebrate everyone in our community.

Families and community members can hear “All Are Welcome,” “Wheels on the TCAT Bus,” and any of the wonderful children’s books John and Cal read and sing anytime at www.ChildrensReadingConnection.org
