Lifelong, Ithaca’s community center serving adults aged 50 and older, will continue its vital programming at Library Place thanks to a new occupancy agreement with Park Grove Realty, the property’s new owner. The agreement ensures Lifelong’s ongoing use of the spacious Library Place Community Room for classes, wellness activities, and events that enrich the lives of older adults in the community.

“Access to the spacious Library Place Community Room has allowed Lifelong to grow and expand our programs beyond the walls of our neighboring main building,” said Liza Burger, Executive Director of Lifelong. “We’re pleased to have reached an agreement with Park Grove Realty, and we’re excited to continue using the Library Place Community Room for years to come, to support engagement, learning, and well-being for the older adults we serve.”

The collaboration between Lifelong and Library Place began in 2017, when TravisHyde Properties first proposed integrating the community center into the building’s vision. Park Grove Realty’s acquisition honors and extends that legacy of thoughtful, community-focused development.

“We’re proud to welcome Library Place into our portfolio and are committed to supporting its role as a neighborhood asset. The high-quality design and construction of the project make Library Place a wonderful presence in the community at the corner of N. Cayuga St. and E. Court St., in the heart of Ithaca,” said Andy Crossed, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Park Grove Realty. “Lifelong plays an important role in our community, and maintaining their presence in this state-of-the-art, street front, community space is a priority for us.”

Library Place, located in the heart of Ithaca, is more than just a residential community, that includes 66 luxury apartments for rent. In addition to hosting Lifelong programs, it is home to The Rook, a neighborhood restaurant featuring upscale comfort food, and Rasa Spa at Library Place, both open to the public. With its vibrant mix of residential, culinary, and wellness offerings, Library Place continues to serve as a hub for community connection.

Park Grove Realty is a regional leader in residential and mixed-use development with a strong track record of enhancing communities through sustainable, resident-centered property management.
