Calling all community volunteers to clean Route 13
Volunteers are invited to join the Route 13 highway cleanup on Oct. 18, helping the Ithaca Rotary Club keep local roads clean and safe.

The Ithaca Rotary Club will hold a highway cleanup on Oct. 18 on Route 13.
If you’d like to help remove the unsightly trash that collects along Route 13, join the Ithaca Rotary Club for its semiannual highway cleanup from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Volunteers from the Ithaca Rotary Club and partners have been cleaning a two-mile stretch of Route 13, between the Triphammer Road and Stewart Park exits, for the past 15 years. The club is seeking community members who would like to volunteer for the two-hour cleanup.
Volunteers will gather at the parking lot at Tops Friendly Markets, 2300 N Triphammer Road, at 8:50 a.m. on October 18th. Hard hats, vests, gloves, trash grabbers and bags will be provided.
After receiving a safety briefing, volunteers will head out in small teams to clean different sections of the highway. Refreshments will be provided after the cleanup.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, contact Bob Gravani, a member of the Rotary Club and coordinator of the event, at bobgravani@gmail.com.
