Vote for Democratic leaders to heal Dryden’s ‘digital divide’

To the Editor:

Our current Democratic leaders in Dryden have performed commendable and effective work in advancing our Town’s interests and protecting our future. As one example, quality and affordable broadband internet, which has been difficult to access in rural communities and in Dryden, is being directly addressed through the rollout of the Dryden Fiber program. Jason Leifer, as Town Supervisor, Christina Dravis and Spring Buck as members of the Town Board have made it a priority to provide municipal broadband to all Town of Dryden residents.

The ‘digital divide’ in Dryden is real, and it is imperative to resolve. This project will improve access to information for town residents and the revenue from subscriptions will fund town reinvestment for generations to come.

I support Jason Leifer, Christina Dravis, and Spring Buck because of this and many other projects and their dedication to improve the lives of Town of Dryden residents. Remember to vote for them during early voting on Oct. 28 to Nov. 5 or on election day on Nov. 7.
