Internationally acclaimed soprano Martha Guth and legendary pianist-scholar Graham Johnson present All About Eve, a recital exploring musical visions of womanhood in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The program features Gabriel Fauré’s La Chanson d’Eve (1906), a defining work of the composer’s late style, followed by songs by Franz Schubert portraying women shaped by love, fate, and loss. Together, Guth and Johnson bring a shared depth of insight and artistry to a program shaped by myth and psychology.
