Can NY Have Affordable AND Clean Energy?

Draft NYS Energy Plan learn & discuss
Learn about the Draft New York State Energy Plan, which looks at the state’s energy needs through 2040 and outlines actions by the state to address energy-related costs, future demand, jobs, and environmental impacts, including pollution and climate change.

This 90-minute meeting is divided into three parts:

Introduction to the NYS Energy Plan presentation by Sameer Ranade, Senior Advisor for Climate Justice, Energy Climate Equity Team at NYSERDA
Q & A on topics of interest to the audience
Small group discussions organized around audience topics of interest, and the opportunity to write comments and suggestions regarding the plan
It will be held at 6 pm October 1st at the Tompkins County Public Library's Borg Warner Room. An additional presentation and discussion will take place at noon at CCE Chemung County's offices.

Participants may attend in person or online. Refreshments will be provided in person.

No previous experience is required for participation. Those interested in attending may find it useful to review the NYS Energy Plan webpage. There is a 2-page Overview , and 80-page Summary for Policymakers .
